Royalty agreements in exchange for rates are negotiated per client, this is not a standard and is up to the discretion of Fi.
We do provide some charitable services – under the condition that it’s extremely compelling. We’re unable to provide religious-sanctioned charity services other than FSM.
Pricing varies greatly based on scope of work; general structures for pricing are as follows:
Basic vocal and/or single-instrument recording starts at $40/hr or $300/day.
Each additional instrument starts at $20/hr (or 10% daily) over base rate – this does not apply to lo-fi or choir type recordings that use group micing.
Out-of-studio recording starts at $100/hr or $700/day. Live concert recording and FOH is nonstandard rate, please inquire.
Custom library sampling starts at $10 per sample type (can include multiple clips of one source, i.e. several cymbal hits is one sample type). Additional rates applied for non-dry samples (added effects or processing). Package deals are more cost effective, please inquire.
SFX (sound effects) for cinema or radio are nonstandard rate, please inquire.
Single-song mixing starts at $200 per track – for live bands/orchestra generally closer to $300 if recorded elsewhere due to frequently receiving poor quality tracks.

All masters are provided as 16-bit 44.1k WAV format and 320K MP3 unless otherwise requested.
**Bulk rates decrease from 10-40% based on volume.
Single masters start at $50 per track. Stems (track-outs) are preferred if available.
Single song recording, mixing and mastering packages start at $300.
iTunes or Vinyl specialized masters are additional 10%.
Package deals generally cost less.

A 10-40% discount applies based on volume above 3 songs.

Incremental (non-package) production rates start at $50/hr or $300/day.
Provided with exclusive rights for commercial use, general percussive beats, melodies, or ambient loops start at $50.
Percussion, melody and other textures in song format start at $100.
Midi and low-bit mobile or modular games are $100 flat rate including all proper formatting. These are nonexclusive and subject to royalty unless negotiated otherwise.
Hi-fidelity loops or records for computer and gaming consoles, amusement rides, theme events and theaters are also typically nonexclusive – inquire for pricing.
For pitch or timing correction, choppy punch-ins, noise, unwanted sounds, or poor levels. For adding effects, harmonies, presence or space. For creating clean sample libraries of a recorded sound for use as an instrument. And, for creating radio-friendly versions of anything.
Pitch correction – vocal or instrumental. $60-300 per song, per channel, depending on severity.
Vocal editing & sampling – $60 to $300 per song, per channel depending on editing needs.
Karaoke vocal removal – suppress or edit out main vocals for use in karaoke or commercials. $150 per song.
Drum editing & sampling – $60 to $150
Guitar, strings or brass editing & sampling – $60 to $400
Radio edits (censorship, arrangement or shortening) – starts at $60 per song.
Live music backing tracks – never use studio-style recordings for performance; live sound systems require unique mixing for clarity. Customized your recorded tracks to blend perfectly with live instruments. Starts at $80 per track, up to 40% discount for a full set list.
Sampling from video or other source, clarified for audibility or tracking/resampling – starts at $80

Studio Courses:
- Studio recording 101 – including basic recording & mixing techniques, plus some great presets for your own DAW.
$100 for 3 hours - Advanced mixing techniques – including great EQ and plugin presets for your own studio.
$100 for 3 hours - Mastering 101 – even if you’re not mastering yourself, this will help your mastering engineer get the best material to work with
$70 for 2 hours.
Live music courses:
- Live sound techniques – a crash course for bands to get the best sound to their audience (and the mix tech)
